My Students

Imagine being a preschooler and going to school for the first time virtually instead of having the customary hands-on, in-person experience. My students are curious, willing to learn, explore, and eager to learn anything and everything. They come to preschool to learn and practice life skills.

My Project

Who hasn't played BINGO? Despite distance learning, we want to practice cooperative play while learning just like we would if we were in a school building. My class is an inclusive prek classroom and practicing social skills are an important part of our instruction. I would like my preschoolers to be able to play all the bingo games that teach prek concepts with their peers virtually. This project would allow each child to have 4 to 5 different bingo cards to choose from when we play number, alphabet, rhyming, beginning and picture sounds games virtually with their peers online. I will also be able to create games using these boards.

Since each child will have more than 1 card for each bingo game, they will also be able to play the game with older siblings and family members thus increasing learning time at home off of the computer.

Many of my children are in an environment where there are siblings or relatives experiencing virtual learning at the same time. This project will also provide each child with a privacy partition so that they will be less distracted during the teaching time.
