My Students

My students come from a rural community with high levels of poverty in our community but not much diversity. My library serves as a place where students can work on projects, study with friends, and get lost in a good book.

Some of those books help students see themselves in the books and others help students understand other cultures and ways of life.

My Project

Our library strives to have the best books and the newest books in popular series for our students. With current budget cuts, we are not able to purchase newly released books for our library this year.

Your donations helps put some of the best new books in my students' hands.

My library gives access to all kinds of books with all kinds of characters so students can see themselves in the books they read. When students tell me they don´t like to read, I just tell them they haven´t found the right book yet. This project helps promote great literature to help create lifelong readers.
