Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn. The students are very diverse and come from different backgrounds. Each child is unique. We are a Tri-lingual School. Students are learning English, Spanish and Mandarin. We are a Title I School.

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

My students struggle with vocabulary. Flocabulary will enhance their day to day conversational fluency. It will engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum.

Speaking with a poor vocabulary can cause people to look down on you.

Vocabulary is an element that people will use to judge your intelligence. When you speak to someone, and you properly use words that are not spoken daily by the average person, you will convey the impression that you are a person that is educated and well read. You will also show that you are great at carrying on a conversation. However, it must be emphasized that having a good vocabulary involves more than just being able to use fancy words when you speak. Vocabulary is crucial because it is directly related to language.

I'm also in need of writing resources. My task at hand is to create effective writers. Effective writing requires a good command of the language in which you write or want to write. Once you have that command, you need to learn some tips and tricks so that you can have an edge over others in this hard-to-succeed world of writers.
