My Project

Students are presenting business ideas to executives in a trade show type environment. Students have been working on their business plans for several weeks, and will be setting up trifold tables to entice business professionals and entrepreneurs in the community to gain funding for their start ups. What is especially impressive is how hard these students, in this historically African American school in 3rd Ward Texas, want to create businesses that not only generate revenue in the community, but to give back to those who cannot afford services needed in 3rd Ward families!

The businesses are:

1. Crimson Studios - Film demos for athletes who are not D1 eligible to get their names out there.

2. Glamour Studios - providing high end hair/makeup and video/photoshoots targeting low income college students.

3. School of Rap - teaches low income students how to perform in a professional band.

4. Fashion Fuel - a food truck with healthy options and athletic apparel for athletic events.

The students will be presenting similar to a "Trade Show" with samples, competitions, and drawings.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
