My Students

My students are mini adults. I want to inspire them to reach for the stars. They are budding doctors, lawyers, scientists, rockstars, politicians, authors, illustrators and teachers. I want to show them the future is theirs for the taking. I want them to discover the world around them in color. Unfortunately we do not have a color printer or polaroid to help them do so. Kids are inspired every day by things that catch their eye. Imagine if they had the opportunity to capture those moments and hold onto them when they are writing stories and creating books of their own. In helping them achieve these, my classroom would need a laser printer, color ink, a polaroid camera, and lots of film.

My Project

My students will be able to capture the moments we have on filed trips, on walking trips. They will be able to bring those moments back to the classroom and share them amongst classmates and their families.

The connection to photography and home is so important, the one thing people save most in a fire other than anything living is photographs.

I want to inspire my students to capture the world around them, and use it to create art and literature. The future starts with them. I want to give them a a way to come alive, to be proud.
