Future Global Leaders Are Flipping Out for Flipgrid!
Help me give my students the headphones and microphones they need to create Flipgrid videos! These Flipgrid videos will help my students to increase their global competencies in communicating with others, recognizing perspectives and investigating the world.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"I never teach my pupils. I only provide the conditions in which they can learn." ~ Albert Einstein. Our class is an amazing team of students because we are always setting new goals for ourselves and helping each other to reach those goals.
We are fourth and fifth grade students in a 12:1 bridge class.
We have special learning needs. Some of us have learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, autism or attention deficit disorders. School is not always an easy place for us. We need a smaller class ratio so that we can stay focused. Most of us are also English Language Learners. We work with a special education teacher, an ESL teacher, a guidance counselor, a speech and language pathologist and an occupational therapist. We love soccer, video games and learning about science & social studies topics. Sometimes we need our teachers to give us extra time to complete tasks or to repeat a lesson multiple times. We learn best when we incorporate all of our senses. We frequently need movement breaks to help us maintain our attention to a task. Regardless, we are always striving to be leaders of ourselves and others!
My Project
We are learning how to be Global Citizens! Our teachers are helping us to develop our four Global Competencies: Investigating the World, Recognizing Perspectives, Communicating with Others and Taking Action. It is really important to us to be able to find our voice on global issues so that we can take local action.
We love making videos on Flipgrid!
With Flipgrid, we are able to discuss global topics and communicate with others. These short videos help us to share our own ideas, listen to others and respond in an appropriate way. We are interested in continuing to use Flipgrid as we communicate with classes in Florida and our traveler in Colombia! We need headsets with microphones so that our videos are clear. Right now we are making videos without the microphones and there is a lot of background noise. It's also really hard to hear our own voices as we record the videos. The quality of our videos will improve if there is less background noise!
Our learning deficits make reading and writing difficult but our auditory strengths make us amazing video producers! Please consider donating so that we can continue to develop our global competencies!
