This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help inspire future freedom writers with access to the novel that started it all. These novels will teach students whose lives are similar to the freedom writers in this novel. Give my students a chance to see that nothing can stop them from making a change in their lives and community. This book inspired me as an educator. The Freedom Writers, who I have met and consider family, showed me how to spark love and compassion for my students. Also, to let them tell their own life stories to the future.
