Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m so excited for this new school year to begin! Thankfully, students are beginning to shrink the gaps from distance learning that occurred during the pandemic. The materials I’m requesting will also help close any existing gaps that occurred.

I want my students to experience joy in learning as they master important skills to be successful in school and in life!

The materials I am requesting have been specifically chosen to support their learning in math, literacy, and STEM. I’m also requesting some art supplies that can be used to develop their creativity skills.

I know my students are excited to start the school year and I want to provide engaging activities that will stimulate their young minds!

The CD players will replace broken ones so that they can listen to stories on CD while they read along. The blank books will be invaluable for supporting their writing development and the scratch art will inspire lots of colorful writing!

The math games and manipulatives will offer lots of hands-on learning as they explore math concepts.

The STEM kits will be used during indoor recess while they develop planning, designing, and engineering concepts as they have fun creating structures.

The art supplies will also be used during indoor recess and will facilitate opportunities to develop their creativity.
