My Students

My school is Title I. Over 90 percent of our student population are receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Most of students do not have any access to the computer or internet at home. In my classroom, we use several computer programs purchased by our district daily through Promethean board. However we have only 4 old computers and sometimes they do not work well.

My students enjoy using technology and access these programs but due to the limited amount of computers, it makes it difficult.

Using technology will allow my students to be more engaged and excited about learning.

My Project

My students will be able to use Android tablets on daily basis to access educational programs to help them with their reading and math skills. In my classroom, we work as small groups.

When students are working independently at their desk, having Android tablets allows more students to use the district purchased programs for both math and reading.

These math and reading programs allow students to learn math and reading concepts in a way that reaches students at the various learning levels and styles.

With the available resource of the Android tablets, my students will have enough opportunities to get the district recommended time of usage of the programs which raise their level of understanding of the subjects.
