This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are an inner city school with low income families in a busy part of the city. Our kids LOVE to play soccer and we want them to have all the equipment they need for PE class. We are currently down to our last few working pop up nets. We've duct taped them back together for years but now we are back to using backpacks and trash cans to mark off the goals.

Physical Education class at our public schools is not allocated funds for instructional materials because we are not considered a "Core" subject.

But many of our students who may not feel motivated to come to school for other classes Love coming to PE. We'd like to continue making PE class a fun and positive experience for our kids.
