My Students

I’m excited to be the new art teacher at an 2 year old school! I haven’t met my students yet but I’ll be teaching all 650 of them in grades PreK through 5th grade in Mount Juliet Tennessee. I’ve been told they are a diverse bunch with 15+ languages that are spoken within our building. With the building being fairly new, there is still a lot that my art room needs! I really need help getting it where we need it to be!

My Project

When demonstrating techniques to students, I love to have them gather around and get up close to view and experience what to do in the art making process. Square tables are awkward and students fight to see around their peers- but with a kidney shaped table, there is room for everyone!

The paper cutter would allow for students to work large and be trimmed down for framing!

An art teacher without a paper cutter is like a house painter without a brush!

Lastly included in my cart are 2 drying racks for students wet artwork to be collected on an dry. Students LOVE to paint and collage and we need a place to allow their masterpieces to dry!
