This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students' curiosity, enthusiasm, and drive to understand the world around them. They thrive on hands-on learning and are always excited to dive into new challenges. Each of them brings unique perspectives and creativity, which makes every class a place of discovery and growth.

The forensic science resources I’m requesting will help transform their learning experiences by engaging them in real-world problem-solving.

The Forensic Science: Fundamentals and Investigations book will introduce them to the foundational principles of forensic science, helping them understand how science applies to solving crimes. The Mark Twain Forensic Investigations Workbook will guide them through critical thinking exercises, teaching them how to analyze DNA, fingerprints, and handwriting—skills that will deepen their understanding of biology and chemistry in an exciting way.

The STEM Investigations: Fingerprint Classification kit will give my students the chance to practice hands-on fingerprint analysis, a key component of forensic science. This practical approach will develop their investigative skills, encourage teamwork, and promote scientific reasoning, all while making the subject matter fun and relatable.

My goal for this project is to provide my students with opportunities to explore forensic science in a meaningful and engaging way. These resources will spark their interest in STEM and help them develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them in many areas of life.

My students are special because they embrace every opportunity to learn and explore, and I believe these tools will inspire them to reach even greater heights.
