Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a combo 4th and 5th grade SLD class and most of my students are preparing on transitioning to middle school, and after a rough few years, students are getting into the groove of being back at school. It is important to me that my students feel confident, motivated and supported in the classroom both academically and emotionally.

I want to help my students fall in love with learning through engaging, relevant hands-on activities that will foster their individual learning needs and help build class community.

I aspire to help them meet their individual academic and social goals through the use of these wobble seats and cushions, SEL discussions, reading tools, visual math manipulatives, and activities that make 'boring material' fun, meaningful and relevant. This project will allow my students to work independently and in small groups to reinforce learning through UDL and differentiation.
