Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator, my job is to provide students with the skills they need to be successful in their future endeavors. I don’t simply provide students with academic content. I tend to their social emotional needs and work with primarily low income latino families.
The items requested either help nurture a child’s basic need to eat and/or help manage the big emotions they face.
Not all my students have the opportunity to have fun snacks and not all of them come from stable households. They deserve the opportunity to be successful despite their hardships.
