Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This will be my second year teaching high school special education. This year I am requesting items that will help me be an effective teacher to my students and provide a welcoming environment.

I am requesting classroom supplies and items to provide a cool-down corner for my students.

Aside from being a special education teacher, I am also a case manager. I have students who sometimes need a place to calm down and that is why I want them to have a place in my classroom where they can feel comfortable speaking to someone or simply relax. Other times I have students requiring pencils or other items they may need for their other core classes. I want my students to focus on learning and not worry if they have the supplies needed to complete their assignments.
