Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher at a Title 1 school, and I have the privilege of working with an incredible group of 2nd graders who absolutely LOVE LEARNING! Every day, they enter our classroom with open minds, eager to discover new things, and give their best effort. They work hard every single minute they are there. To support their journey towards success, I aim to enhance our learning environment with a variety of flexible seating options.

These flexible seating options will be a game-changer, providing my students with more autonomy and comfort in their learning experiences.

The flexible seating tools I've selected will create a more inclusive and adaptable classroom, allowing my students to thrive in any space. We plan to use these for independent work, as well as partner and group activities, to foster student collaboration. With the ability to wiggle, lie back, and change positions, students will remain engaged and comfortable, knowing they have multiple seating choices in the place they spend so much time – our classroom.
