My Project
Most of the furniture in my room has worked hard for the past six years. However, some pieces of furniture are reaching the end of their lifespan.
I have bookcases that are well-loved but coming apart, broken plastic drawers with my class supplies, and alternative seating that can no longer be used; the items in this project are quality items to replace those that have reached the end of the line.
This project includes two bookcases to hold books, bins of classroom supplies, and board games for when students have time to connect. The different-sized cubbies will allow for flexibility when storing all of my supplies.
Additionally, I used to have a couple of saucer chairs where students could sit when they are working on an assignment, or when they finish the classwork, they can relax with a book. However, the chairs are both broken after six years of use.
My classroom does not have built-in storage, so bookcases/shelving are an absolute must in my English classroom.
