My Students

I teach in an inner city Title 1 classified school where all of my students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. This year, my class of 23 bright and eager first graders would love to have more access to educational technology.

Each morning, my students come to school bursting with curiosity and excitement about what we will learn today.

I love to teach in a style of small group instruction that allows for individualized learning needs to be most effectively met. Technology is just one way to meet these extremely diverse needs.

My Project

With this set of Kindle Fire tablets and headphones, I would be able to allow a small group of students the ability to explore a topic on their own. I could download books from the public library for students to read and have access to. I look forward to the wealth of learning games available and the dramatic difference that they could make to individualized instruction in my classroom.

These Kindle Fire tablets would make such an impact on my classroom and the technology skills that my students could have.
