Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Geometry folding shapes offer a unique avenue for enhancing the mathematical comprehension of our 6th-grade students. Through hands-on manipulation of these tangible tools, students can delve into the abstract world of geometry with newfound clarity and excitement. These shapes provide a bridge between theory and practice, allowing students to visualize geometric concepts in a tangible and engaging manner. By incorporating geometry folding shapes into our curriculum, we aim to spark curiosity, foster deeper understanding, and ultimately cultivate a love for mathematics among our students.

Our project's primary goal is to revolutionize the learning experience for our 6th-grade math students.

With the integration of geometry folding shapes, we seek to empower students to become confident problem solvers and critical thinkers. By honing their spatial reasoning skills and promoting active engagement with geometric principles, we aim to lay a strong foundation for future mathematical success. Through this project, we aspire to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive and excel.

What makes our students truly special is their resilience, diversity, and innate potential for growth. Despite facing various challenges, our students possess an unwavering determination to succeed. By providing them with access to resources such as geometry folding shapes, we can unlock their full potential and pave the way for academic excellence. Your generous donations will enable us to empower our students, equipping them with the tools and support they need to succeed in mathematics and beyond. Together, let us embark on a journey to transform math education and empower the next generation of mathematicians.
