My Students

Our building is Title I and full of students who love to learn! My students are mostly black and brown. They come to school with a love to learn and a lot of energy! Many of our students are interested in science and engineering! They love to work with new STEM materials!

My Project

Many of our students love using hands-on materials and their iPads, but they don't realize there are a ton of cool careers in the field of STEM where they can use those skills! These materials will help me introduce my students to a variety of careers that they might not be familiar with. They will learn how architects have to design buildings so they don't fall down, how magnets work, how roller coasters are designed, and how all that bacteria grows on our food. There is a wide world of science, math, and engineering professions out there that I want my students to be excited about!
