My Project

The faculty at MAST@FIU is committed to providing our students with all the materials they need to have a successful academic career.

As we have seen from the recent pandemic, sanitized surfaces are vital for the general health and well-being of everyone.

At the end of each of my classes, students use antibacterial wipes to clean all workstations for the next class. We also use these wipes to clean high-touch areas.

Expo™ dry erase markers not only provide a means for teachers to share content with their students, but they also allow students to collaborate in a whole group setting on large white boards, and also in smaller groups whether for peer tutoring or personal problem solving during computer-based assessments.

The Microsoft™ Surface™ Pen provides a seamless way to highlight or explain content during instructional delivery. By connecting my Microsoft™ Surface™ to the Promethean Activ Panel, I am able to help students quickly and effectively, without transitioning from the page being used.

In the next two weeks, students will be introduced to the periodic table of elements. I have an idea for students to create a 3D model of the periodic table using connecting blocks. One side of the blocks will show general information normally found on a periodic table tile, and the opposite side will depict little known facts about each element.

Copy paper is essential to our classroom practice. Students are frequently assigned a paper-based project, or are required to take paper-based assessments, especially in an Advanced Placement (AP) class. I also provide individualized assessments and practice worksheets for students in my classroom.

Your generous donation of these supplies will improve efficiency in instructional delivery, and help keep students safe from viruses and bacteria which are transmitted through contact with surfaces.
