My Project
In our biology and health classrooms, we are currently exploring the concept of homeostasis, the process by which living organisms maintain a stable internal environment. To give our students a hands-on, real-world experience, we need surface thermometers to accurately measure temperature changes and understand the role of temperature regulation in living systems. Homeostasis is a foundational topic in biology, and temperature regulation is a key aspect of how organisms survive and thrive. By incorporating surface thermometers into our lab activities, students will be able to directly observe how temperature can affect biological systems and learn how the body uses mechanisms like sweating, shivering, and blood flow adjustments to maintain a constant internal temperature.
These thermometers will help us conduct experiments where students can measure skin temperature, environmental temperature, and even temperature changes in different biological materials, allowing them to collect data and analyze how living organisms regulate their internal conditions.
This hands-on experience is invaluable for deepening their understanding of homeostasis and its critical role in health and survival.
