Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fourth graders will create a budget for dye/run packets (sweatbands, bags, invitations and race numbers), determine supplies needed for attendance and calculate measurement of run course. Each student will create a spreadsheet using Google docs to document all expenses. Students will complete race set-up. My fourth graders will have a real world application of their financial literacy and computer literacy skills.

My student will finalize their unit on financial literacy by hosting a Color Run for their fellow schoolmates.

Students will develop a logo for the event. Using a cricut press, scholars will have logo placed on tshirt to wear during event. Cardstick will be used to create run numbers. The run will be given as a reward to students who have been excellent members of our school's community. Scholars who receive an invitation to color run will be chosen by our Fourth Grade student panel
