My Students

This year I am teaching a self-contained second grade class. That means all of the students in this classroom have special needs. Each child is unique in their own way, learns at their own pace, and brings something special to the table.

All of the students are so excited to have returned to school and be united with friends, teachers, and learning!

We're working hard to enter back in to a routine and to grow our brains as much as possible!

My Project

The books this project will provide to my class will allow the students in my classroom to have a more diverse library. Presently the library in our classroom contains texts that are a little too challenging for my students at this point but they are eager to learn! I'm hoping by offering them new texts that this will create excitement and independence for my students as readers.

Opening a fictional book can transport you to another world and I hope that my students can find the joy in traveling through words.
