My Students

Do you remember what it was like when the teacher asked questions? You might have had a difficult time remembering all the parts of the question. The 10 interactive CD-ROM's I am requesting provide a great opportunity to enhance learning in the classroom for visuals learners, and they make learning fun in a different way.

The students in my classroom represents cultures from many countries.

I teach in a multi-cultural classroom where students learn about other students' traditions and heritage. Our school is in a large urban area, and there are over 1,000 students enrolled. The students are eager and enthusiastic about learning every day.

My Project

My students' education would greatly benefit from this Language Art resource because it will help the students learn. All students do not learn the same way. Some students are visual learner and need support in this area. A lot of our teaching is auditory. It would benefit all students greatly if certain language skills were taught both visually as well as auditory. These CD-ROM's provide a fantastic way to enhance the already set curriculum. The students will learn how to read and predict outcomes from their reading. Furthermore, they will learn to sequence events, read for details, and be exposed to test taking strategies that will help them succeed in school all through college.

Your donation will make an impact because it will enhance a child's access to the curriculum in a fun way.

These CD-ROM's can be used to project a lesson to the whole class at the same time which creates class discussions and showcases different ways to reach answers to a problem. This helps students who are shy or have difficulty organizing their thoughts. These learning resources can teach a whole group, as well as an individual, in an improved way.
