Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At this middle school in Stamford, Connecticut, my students are part of a program throughout the school district for student's with autism. All of my students are diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and each one of them have their own unique personality. They are kids that love structure and routine and enjoy a balanced work and free time. Each student is unique, loving different videos, subjects, and free choice activities. They are eager to learn and genuinely enjoy being around others.

My Project

The students in my classroom have specific sensory needs and the headphones in my classroom are very old and flimsy. New headphones to help not only adjust the volume, but also the ability to sit comfortably over the ears for my students would be amazing!

A bookshelf organizer would allow for a designated free choice area to my classroom that the students do not have right now.

This shelf and bin organizer gives my classroom a space for them and an obvious spot where items are located for them to choose from independently during free choice and break times. Thank you so much!
