My Students
Hello...preschoolers are amazing little people. I have students ages 3-5 in my classroom. The majority of my children have special needs. Some use infant toddle toys due to their ability. I have been teaching for the Early Learning Program for 13 years. This year I had 5 families request me because I have other children in their family. The children in my classroom show us so much love and help us see the positives in life. I had to take a leave of absence due to having cancer 2 years ago. I had wonderful families bring me food, offer to help watch my daughter, and pray for me.
My Project
All the materials will be used at school. I have several special needs children who have fine motor concerns. The sensory items will be used in many ways to strengthen their hand and are muscles while having fun. The fine motor games will be the next step to help them learn numbers, colors, etc while continuing to build those muscles. The light table items are not only good fine motor but soothing to a few of the students who have trouble regulating their emotions. The items can be used by my hiring functions students as well as the students working at more of a toddler level.
