My Project
I teach a class of 24 children at a Title 1 school near Michigan. Many of my students come from difficult home situations and behavior can be a struggle everyday.
Having flexible seating options would aid in improving behavior and foster a fun, positive learning environment where students can thrive.
We expect young children to sit in the same seat for several hours throughout the day. Many children in my class are still developmentally unable do this. I have so many students who would really benefit from the opportunity to use a variety of seating options which would allow for both independent and cooperative learning.
