This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Did you know that many students prefer reading non-fiction books? Children in general are full of questions about the world around them. Adding more non-fiction books to our class library will help feed their curiosity. Did you also know that reading nonfiction books help students connect to the real-world, build their knowledge and understanding about all living things and how the human species used their imagination to build and create the world that we currently lived in?
Non-Fiction books foster critical thinking and information gathering skills.
It is also a mean to further enhance children's experiences and interests. Reading about, understanding and knowing factual scientific information about how the world we lived in function in my eyes is one of the most important for our students.
