Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I have asked for will be greatly appreciated not only by myself but also my students. Being a first year teacher I am continuously looking for new ways to make my students excited to learn science and I think that the environment within the classroom says a lot about that as well!
All of the items that I have asked for will fill in a certain aspect of my classroom to make it more fun and exciting for my students and also provide them with needed materials for learning.
First off, I have asked for candy to reward my students with when they answer questions correctly or we have a star student standout! Next, Pencils are always useful especially at the 7th grade level students are constantly misplacing them since they are moving from one room to the next within the school day. To make the room a little more fun I have added hanging plants to hang from my class ceiling to give it that fun look! And lastly I have asked for a fish tank! Being a marine biology student in college, I have always loved fish tanks. Currently we have one fish as our class pet and the students love it! I would love to bring in more fish for the students to enjoy at the beginning and end of class!
