Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My enthusiastic and eager learners are learning how to navigate the digital world independently, at just six years old! Our class received brand new Chromebooks for use in our first grade classroom, and we are ecstatic! The students are learning many new programs and apps to help them excel. Technology is fun and engaging at this age and the students are really flourishing!

A teacher’s job is to educate their students to be independent learners and thinkers in order to reach their full potential.

In order to do so, we need the right equipment to make learning easy and accessible for them at this young age.

My Project

A laptop charging cart will give students opportunities to practice independence in their classroom. They can safely retrieve their devices and ensure they are charged and ready for learning at all points of the day.

First graders growing up in a digital world need to be savvy enough to log into their devices independently, access their devices and ensure they are charged and ready for learning.

This project will benefit 27 students in a New York City school and set them up for success in the first grade!

Equity Focus

At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Learn how your donation to this school supports a more equitable education.
