Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 1st and 2nd grade Diverse Learners are eager to learn math in a fun, interactive and meaningful way, but they only have few materials to use to develop their math thinking skills.

My students have special needs of varying degree ranging from autism, speech impairments, and intellectual disabilities.

They love learning but struggle to grasp basic concepts every day. They are amazing, curious students who need your generous help in order to keep developing their mathematical abilities. The majority of my students attend a school in Illinois, where about 90% of the students are English Language Learners and come from low income families.

My Project

My students will use the multiple interactive math materials to discover, develop and add depth to their math thinking skills. This project will benefit 1st and 2nd grade students with and without disabilities in Inclusive classrooms to build and develop a solid math foundation.

My students need write and wipe clocks, math read-aloud stories, magnetic fraction circles/bars, 3D geometric shapes among other materials to help them develop multiple math concepts.
