My Students

My students are incredible. I could never describe them in one word. They are students that come from low-income families and have a wide range of special needs.

These students never let their disability stop them from reaching their goals.

They work hard, harder than an average student. We have a lot of fun together and they truly are "my kids". They make me want to be a better teacher everyday and I am always looking for ways to help them.

My Project

Can you imagine being expected to stay focused and learn while sitting in the same chair at the same desk everyday when you are 10, 11, 12 years old?

Standing desks, flexible stools, backjacks, these are supplies that my exceptional thinkers need to help them stay focused.

It is so hard for my students to stay focused everyday. They want to move and walk around but, unfortunately, in the classroom setting that is not always feasible. I want to change that for my amazing students. These supplies will give them a choice of how they want to learn and what works best for them.
