My Project

There are many learning styles: visual, auditory, reading/writing, and our personal favorite, kinesthetic. In our FUN-ctional speech room, students love to explore items through touch! Utilizing tactile items, our hands-on learners will remain interested and engaged as they reach and surpass their communication goals. Manipulating letters and phonemes with Osmo and CVC tiles will aid our students in literacy goals that they will transfer to the classroom. Seeing, moving, and touching the mouth puppet will assist in verbal cues for tongue placement when working on articulation goals. Toys will serve as rewards for choice time and aid in social pragmatic skills during play with peers!
