This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been a para educator for two years now at our pre k center. However this upcoming fall will be my first year as a teacher on our campus. While I may not know exactly who my students are just yet I can tell you from experience that every year when new students come into our classroom they are sweet, and funny, and so eager to learn.

"Pre K is a special place where little things mean a lot!" Our campus serves many low income families.

Despite all of their difficulties there is a strong community between our school and our parents. Our common goal is our children! These little curious mind are eager to learn and we are eager to help them achieve their goals!

My Project

This fall will be my first year teaching and I am super excited to get my classroom set up for the kids when we return from summer break. I want to create a bright, fun, and welcoming environment in the classroom. I want to help ease the transition for my pre k kids since this is their first school experience and I want it to be a positive experience for them.

Pre K is meant to be an adventure!

I want my kids to walk into the classroom and feel safe and excited to learn. The rugs I have selected have a home in our block and library centers. The Pete the Cat book and plush doll will be used in a story basket for the students to use at the library center. The ABC locks will be a part of our literacy center time. Every item has a purpose, and that is to create a fun and educational time for the littles in class 7!
