My Students

I teach at a school in the mountains in a very supportive community. My students, like all students right now, are working hard to adjust and catch up during this crazy time. As their teacher, I want to relight their fire about education.

I am actively working on ways to get my students excited about school again.

I want to help them get caught up while letting them be kids and have fun this year. Because of this goal, I am hoping to introduce many academic based games, activities, and projects in the classroom.

My Project

I am planning to have more small independent learning groups in my classroom as we introduce new concepts. Part of these groups will be academic based games, stem activities, and team building concepts. By having my students work together more often they can improve their social skills and get more centralized learning opportunities. They can do all of these things while having fun and becoming more excited about school. These kiddos have been through a lot these past couple of years and introducing more play based learning challenges will be a great way to help them love school again.
