My Project

In a Montessori classroom, students have freedom to move their bodies and to stretch their minds. Children in my classroom will be between 3 and 5 years old, and at that age love to work in comfortable places. The rug will be an addition to our sensorial area, allowing the students to have a cozy place to work. The dog beds are actually fantastic pillows for students- one will be in our class library and another in our peace corner.

Children also love to explore all things sensory, including music.

As a musician myself, it's important to instill a love of music in children. The record player and the keyboard will be in the music area, where children can come and relax and explore music.

Finally, the organizational materials will be in our art/loose parts area. Loose parts help children will sorting, organizing, and categorizing skills.
