My Students

My students are kind and helpful and come to school each day eager to learn. I recently moved to a new school and began teaching a new grade. My students make me excited to come to work everyday and eager to see what new things they will learn. They are very self-motivated and have a vested interest in their own learning. Even when learning becomes challenging, they continue to work hard and not give up. I want to give them the resources they need to make learning even more fun and exciting!

My Project

We have been learning multiplication recently and the concept is very challenging for my students. I taught kindergarten and first grade for 10 years and this is my first year in third grade. I am lacking engaging, higher level math resources for my class.

Games like "Multiply, Divide and Conquer" and math towers would really engage my students in the third grade math content.

Hands-on math supplies would also help my students gain a deeper understanding of the content in a fun way. Third grade math is very challenging and it is my job to find fun and engaging ways to help my students have a thorough understanding.
