Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have created a home and purpose for every item to inspire our students, engage them in critical thinking and teamwork, and create an inclusive math class.

Students, especially 9th graders, learn in a structured, interactive, and engaging classroom; whiteboards and essential resources make this possible!

Whiteboards allow every student to have a voice and will enable me to quickly assess where students are making mistakes or when it is time to move on to a new topic. Whiteboards also allow our students to collaborate and share their ideas with their peers, which is essential when learning in a math classroom. The pencils and markers are for students since we are working with workbooks and our online resources. Each poster has a purpose: to remind students of essential math facts, demonstrate historical math figures, or create a math-friendly environment. Additionally, I am using a workbook for extra math practice problems for students who would like to go above and beyond and demonstrate more examples of problems that would appear in state exams.
