My Project

After 20 years of middle school teaching I am moving to the high school side. I need help. Our school is a special day or discipline school. Students are sent from the 65 square miles in our district. Every student is hungry. Most students are not receiving necessities at home.

Students are not allowed to bring anything to school with them.

The free breakfast and lunch is the same portion as elementary school kids. It is impossible to learn when you are uncomfortable or hungry. Please help me feed my students’ body and brain.

I will give students snacks every day. I will use the posters, borders and desk accessories to prepare my classroom. I want everyone to know they are welcome and valued in our classroom. Many of my students do not have a safe place outside of school. I need for my students to be safe and full. The mobile standing desk will allow me to move around the classroom to assist student learning.
