We are a diverse group of kindergartners in Seattle, WA. Our students come from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, but we all love to learn.
We are cheerful, enthusiastic, and busy in our all-day kindergarten classroom.
Our days are full of literacy, math, science, writing, social studies, movement, and art. Our teacher makes sure to incorporate music, dancing, and play into our learning. We ask many questions, and want to know as much as we can about every subject. We need to be hands-on and experiential to do our best learning.
My Project
The world of STEM is just opening up to us. We want to become learners in science and engineering. Our teacher is capable of incorporating literacy and the arts into our daily learning. We have access to many math materials. What we are lacking is materials in the specific areas of science and engineering.
We need these materials and resources to guide our conceptual exploration and understanding in a newly designated STEM school.
These wonderful STEM bundles will be an invaluable resource for students and teacher alike, as we establish the foundation for thinking and learning through the lens of STEM. We will be able to explore and understand with these hands-on STEM materials, in daily centers, and in whole-group experiences. We can build on our current knowledge, correct misconceptions, form our own hypotheses, and experiment with new concepts.
