Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students, much like adults, are motivated by rewards, similar to how we might feel incentivized by a bonus check for our hard work. I would like to introduce an engagement-driven approach to PBIS awards across my entire school. A Morgan STEM vending machine would provide students with STEM-related rewards to support the development of home laboratories.

Many of tomorrow's jobs will be in fields related to STEM.

Students would earn a vending machine token for demonstrating achievements in academics, attendance, and behavior. Students would select a hands-on STEM/STEAM item designed to foster learning and curiosity.

This one of a kind program would not only promote academic success but also strengthen the relationship between students and teachers. By offering STEM-related rewards that students can use at home, we can encourage their independence, confidence, and problem-solving abilities as they continue to engage in self-guided learning and exploration.
