Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school with very little money to buy the materials we need to help students be successful in their learning. My students are eager scientists and engineers! They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique experiences to their learning. They are leaders who believe they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.

The scientists, engineers, and environmentalists love investigating and creating new ideas to help the world.

They believe that science, engineering, and the environment are the future and believe if we take care of our Earth it will continue to take care of us.

My Project

These materials will impact my students learning tremendously. Most of the students in my school fall below the poverty level and are not able to purchase materials for school. Many of our parents have opted for remote learning, and I will be remote teaching for now, I will be using these materials to live stream lessons and activities. Although the students won't be able to touch the materials, I want them to still experience the problem solving and critical thinking skills that are so important in today's world.

These materials will allow the students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers who direct me on how to use or manipulate the materials.
