Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting these materials, supplies and comfortable rolling chairs for my Media Center and Maker Space area that is enjoyed by all 550 students in our school. These items on my "wish list" already have a "home." I have dreamt about creating this space in my Media Center for all our students to enjoy. I envision this space to be the HUB of our school where all students will use their imaginations to create, build, read, discover, and truly learn by doing. I have already begun to create this amazing space and now I need your help in getting new chairs, Maker Space items, and a Cricut machine for our Maker Space area of the Media Center. I just know our students will LOVE visiting the Media Center and exploring all this newly renovated, comfortable space has to offer.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' ability to use their imagination to create and build.

It will also serve as a safe and comfortable environment where they will gather, read, study and learn.

By creating a Media Center that is comfortable and inviting I just know that my students and their teachers will use it and benefit from all that it will offer. My goal is to instill a love of reading for pleasure, reading to gain knowledge, curiosity to create and the understanding that, as humans, we are truly life-long learners. All this would not be possible without your support. Please help me to continue what I have already started on a very small budget (literally my very own piggy bank) so that I may create a magical space for all of my students in my school.
