Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade scholars are becoming independent learners excited about learning! This year we will explore and integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and math in fun and innovative ways!

Resources that align and support student engagement in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math are needed during our 100% virtual learning experience.

Balancing online time and hands on learning is a challenge with limited resources. Hands-on study materials will help support my students’ discovery and learning in new and exciting ways! During this second semester, materials are needed outside of spending all of their time on devices. The power of a chapter book in their hands, a sketch book for art lessons, and a math notebook to interact with math learning is needed. Therefore it is essential to seek out creative resources to help maximize learning adventures!

My Project

My 3rd grade scholars are so excited about ART! My curriculum integrates science, technology, engineering, ART and math (STEAM). The materials purchased from this project will fund a sketch book for each student, a math journal for each with flair pens to capture note taking, and the sequel to their favorite chapter book.

During ART time, my students enjoy exploring their imagination during directed drawing lessons around our integrated units of study.

Sketch books will give them the opportunity to collect their art pieces in one place. Virtual learning reveals many challenges including organizing materials. The spiral bound sketch book and math notebook will make it easy to access their learning process. In this second semester of 100% virtual learning, having their own flair pens will help them feel special and proud of their notes.
