This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I've worked private. I've worked with privileged. Working with eleventh and twelfth grade public high school students from low income families is my jam.

My science acumen (I spent twenty years in clinical and anatomic pathology) is my brush.

My classroom presentation is my tapestry. My curious Oklahoma City students are my media!

While I always stock my biology and environmental science classrooms with small living crustaceans and vertebrates, as well as solar panel car kits and DNA modeling kits, I still lack the financial resources to fully engage students in weekly hands-on science activities.

I appreciate you and your contribution. I promise that the money you spend will enrich the lives of my students and further open their minds to the wonders, mysteries and joys of science!

My Project

Invite students to be the next generation environmental scientists and environmental engineers; or maybe, just stimulate curiosity to be used in any career!

We will use clear, plastic pipettes to gather crustaceans, etc.

from the fish tank and observe live on deep-well microscope slides. Once observed, the living creatures will be returned to the fish tank for further growth, development, and to complete their life cycles! Predator-prey relationship will happen in real life/real time, as hydra will seek and eat daphnia!
