Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The food and snacks that I am requesting are important and will be used on a day-to-day basis. I am the school nurse at an elementary school and it is mind-blowing to see how many kids walk in and say, "I am hungry, may I have a snack?", or "I didn't make it on time for breakfast and my stomach is rumbling." As a nurse, knowing that these children are hungry, I have to step in. The cafe closes at a certain time and the only place to look for a snack is in the "nurse's office".

This project will help my students fulfill their hungry tummies and energize their bodies and minds.
