Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are reaching out to request snack donations for our after-school program, which supports newcomer students who face a range of challenges, including trauma, separation from their home countries, poverty, and living in shelters. These students are unique because, despite these hardships, they are eager to learn, adapt, and succeed in a new environment. They bring diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences that enrich our learning community.

Providing nutritious snacks will significantly improve their learning.

Hunger can be a major barrier to concentration, especially after a long school day. With access to healthy snacks, students will have the energy and focus they need to stay engaged during after-school hours, allowing them to meet the state's academic expectations and achieve their learning goals.

Our primary goal for this project is to create a supportive, nurturing environment where these students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. By contributing snacks, you're helping hungry minds and investing in their ability to stay focused, build resilience, and succeed despite the challenges they face. We sincerely appreciate any support you can provide to help us meet these goals.
