My Project

For many of our students, this is their first time back on campus after two years. They are struggling to try and succeed in a new environment, full of surprises and interruptions to the reality they have come to know and be prepared for. Students can not learn in a place where they do not have proper support for all their needs; especially sensory needs. This is why I am asking for assistance in providing our students with the space and tools they need to succeed.

These sensory items will find a residence in our sensory room, where students can escape and regulate while experiencing new environments and experiences.

Our students' needs vary, as do the items on this list. For some, light shows and loud sounds help. Other students prefer ocean waves and a weighted blanket. My hope is this project meets all students' needs.
