My Project

As a first grade teacher, one of my biggest priorities is to foster a love of reading in my young students. Imagine the amazing impact of having a classroom filled with engaging books about animals, space, and marine life. When first graders have access to high-quality, non-fiction books, something magical happens. They don't just learn to read – they become explorers, scientists, and researchers. They share fascinating facts with classmates, make connections to the world around them, and develop critical thinking skills.

We're seeking to build a collection of National Geographic and Kingfisher Readers that will bring science, nature, and discovery alive for our young students!

These carefully leveled books, with their stunning photographs and age-appropriate text, are perfectly designed to capture the natural curiosity of first graders while building essential reading skills. Will you help us open up new worlds of discovery for our young learners? Thank you so much for considering our classroom!
